Olivia Shadduck, DVM
Veterinarian and Owner
Dr Shadduck graduated with her B.S. of Animal Science from Delaware Valley University before earning her veterinary degree from THE Ohio State University. In 2019, she moved back to her hometown to practice. She particularly loves surgery and emergency medicine, but also has a passion for arthritis management. When not in the office, Dr. Shadduck enjoys spending time with her horses, her husband Jeffrey, and their dog and four cats.
Tracy Thompson, DVM
Veterinarian
What’s your role here at Roman Acres? How long have you been here? Veterinarian, I joined RAVH in April 2025.
What’s your favorite part about working at Roman Acres? It has a more caring, small-town vibe, unlike a lot of corporate practices. They really care
How many pets do you have at home? We have 2 dogs and 4 horses, and I’m looking into getting a cat
One (or a few) fun facts about yourself… I grew up on a beef farm in West Virginia and hope to get a few cows. I firmly believe ice cream fixes everything

What’s your role here at Roman Acres? How long have you been here? I’ve been with the practice since its founding, taking on the practice manager role in December of 2022.
What’s your favorite part about working at Roman Acres? Our clients, getting to see how we better their furry family members’ lives and how we can be a small part of their family.
How many pets do you have at home? Two horses, 4 cats and the dog-of-my-life Lundy.
One (or a few) fun facts about yourself… I have a love/hate relationship with golf… I suck at it but I’m out there all the time.

What’s your role here at Roman Acres? How long have you been here? I am a Licensed Vet Tech and have been here since 2018
What’s your favorite part about working at Roman Acres? The staff is like family and being able to provide a happy hospital visit and the least stress to our patients
How many pets do you have at home? 2 cats, Pep and Nerm and I take care of strays around my house as well
One (or a few) fun facts about yourself… I’ve been in the business since 2000, I’ve been a LVT since 2004, and I like art, video games, music, cats, and gardening

What’s your role here at Roman Acres? How long have you been here? I am a Licensed Vet Tech and have been here for over 3 years (2022).
What’s your favorite part about working at Roman Acres? Having co-workers I can rely on, good days and bad, and of course all of the cute pets!
How many pets do you have at home? 5 cats, Noodle, Pai Mei, Dorito, Pootie, and Birdie
One (or a few) fun facts about yourself… I love thrifting and collecting oddities

What’s your role here at Roman Acres? How long have you been here? I am a Licensed Vet Tech going on 4 years getting my license and pursuing my Bachelors
What’s your favorite part about working at Roman Acres? I really like the quality of medicine and the energy of the practice
How many pets do you have at home? A mini zoo, 3 cats, 1 Amazon Green parrot, the best chihuahua ever, and 2 bunnies
One (or a few) fun facts about yourself… Elephants are my favorite animal and I plan on one day getting to work with them, I love reading, Harry Styles, Chihuahuas and Golden Retrievers, and the color pink.

What’s your role here at Roman Acres? How long have you been here? I am a Licensed Veterinary Technician and started in April 2024 where I’d work every other Sunday. I’ve been working full time since April 2025

How many pets do you have at home? I have 2 Great Danes, Ana and Niko, 2 cats, Eris and Kolt, 1 crested gecko, Rowan, and 1 ball python, Bronwyn
One (or a few) fun facts about yourself… I love reading - more morally grey the nun, the better! I also enjoy travelling

What’s your role here at Roman Acres? I am a veterinary assistant and have been here for 14 years. I’ve been here since Dr. Shadduck bought the practice and for many years prior
What’s your favorite part about working at Roman Acres? My favorite part about working at Roman Acres is educating clients so they can give the best care to their pets :)
How many pets do you have at home? I have 1 dog, Oma
One (or a few) fun facts about yourself… I like to build LEGO sets with my daughter and am a sucker for Dad-jokes

What’s your role here at Roman Acres? How long have you been here? I work as a vet assistant and have been here since April of this year
What’s your favorite part about working at Roman Acres? Helping animals and petting all of them!
How many pets do you have at home? I have 5 dogs, 3 long-haired mini Dachshunds, 1 Canadian Eskimo dog, and 1 German Shepherd/Lab/Rottie mix
One (or a few) fun facts about yourself… I love waterfall hikes in the summer with my dogs. I like to read, and am in my last year of college to be a vet tech

What’s your role here at Roman Acres? How long have you been here? I am a high school student working as an assistant. I’ve been here for the 2024-2025 school year and plan to come in over the summer as well.
What’s your favorite part about working at Roman Acres? Even when I’m not at school, I still feel like I’m learning something new everyday. Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming to questions and seeing all of the different pets is always really interesting.
How many pets do you have at home? I have 2 cats, Gerald and Didi, and spend most of my time with the horses at a local barn, Oakwood Manor.
One (or a few) fun facts about yourself… My favorite color is red, I taught my cat Didi how to high five, I love country music (especially George Strait and Luke Bryan), and this past varsity field hockey season I made the All-State Selection and team captain!

What’s your favorite part about working at Roman Acres? Getting to know the clients and their pets
How many pets do you have at home? I have 1 dog, Aspen, as well as 2 cats, Shuge and Tryke
One (or a few) fun facts about yourself… When I am not at RAVH answering phone calls and helping clients sometimes I help transport dogs for Mountain Rottie Rescue. I love to travel as much as possible as well as camping and hiking.

What’s your role here at Roman Acres? How long have you been here? Receptionist since April 2025.
What’s your favorite part about working at Roman Acres? Coworkers are great, patients are adorable, the internal & management culture are the least toxic I’ve ever experienced in a job environment. I like it here.
How many pets do you have at home? I have two pets with my girlfriend. Nina is our Malinois/Dutch Shepherd mix, and Babycat is our lovable street kitty. There are also my mother-in-law’s Frenchies, Lucum and Ophelia, living down on the floor below us.
One (or a few) fun facts about yourself… I love movies, traveling, and old shiny things. I am also studying to get my bachelors of science in accounting
